Farmington, CT – A Farmington Valley mother-daughter team is helping children understand climate change through creativity, collaboration, and clear language. Author Kimberly Haidinger and her daughter, illustrator Luna Hansen, were recently featured on NBC Connecticut, where meteorologist Steve Glazier highlighted their work on A Kid’s Guide to Climate Activism.
The interview explores their unique partnership, the inspiration drawn from their family’s time living in Denmark, and their shared belief that climate action begins with small, everyday choices. Through accessible vocabulary and original illustrations created by Luna, the books empower young readers to understand climate issues and see themselves as capable changemakers.
