If you’ve visited my page before – or maybe we’ve had the joy of chatting in person – you already know how obsessed I am with the idea of personal responsibility when it comes to fighting climate change.
I truly believe that small, everyday eco-friendly actions add up to big change. This isn’t the place to debate whether individual efforts matter, I know they do! My cutting down on plastic in my home might not save the planet on its own, but when I talk about it and you try it, and then you share it… suddenly we’ve started a wave of action. 🌎✨
So, this week, I decided to share ten simple, fun, eco-friendly things I did – all doable swaps or habits you can try yourself. My hope is that you’ll find one (or two, or ten!) ideas to add to your own sustainable living routine.
And please, drop me a comment or message to tell me your favorite green-living habits. I love swapping ideas with this amazing community!
1. I Shopped Local at My Farm Store
I finally stopped at the local farm store I drive by almost every day. It was filled with beautiful cabbage, carrots, zucchini, green onions, and so much more – fresh, local, and completely packaging-free! Supporting local farms keeps our food miles low and our community thriving.
2. I Made My Favorite Vegan Eggroll Dinner 🥢
A simple, delicious win for both my taste buds and the planet. Shredded veggies (from the farm store) wrapped in a plant-based spring roll, served with rice and a sweet-spicy sauce -so good. I’ve added the recipe to my site if you want to give it a try!
3. I Took My Mom to the Best Refill Store – Reboot Eco!
My mom is growing her own sustainable habits, and I couldn’t resist showing her my favorite local refill shop. She picked up wool dryer balls (goodbye microplastics from dryer sheets!) and a few eco-friendly gifts. The Reboot Eco team is amazing (I am sure your local refill store team is too) – so helpful and inspiring.
4. I Line-Dried My Clothes (Indoors This Time!)

Okay, maybe not the most glamorous, but definitely one of my favorite energy-saving habits. When the weather turns chilly, I set up my drying rack in a sunny indoor spot. Line-drying saves energy, keeps clothes lasting longer, and gives me that simple-satisfaction feeling every time.
5. I Sent My Food Scraps to My Mill ♻️
If you haven’t checked out Mill.com, it’s a dream for food waste reduction. It grinds and heats scraps into a dry mix that’s easy to store, ship or use on your lawn and garden – basically the happiest way to compost!
6. I Voted 🗳️
Because sustainability starts locally. I want leaders who believe in climate action, support creative waste reduction, and are ready to move our town toward a greener future. Your vote truly matters. Check and see if your town offers Early Voting – it was so easy and convenient!

7. I Did My Laundry in Cold Water
This one’s so easy it feels like cheating. Washing in cold water saves energy and cuts down greenhouse gas emissions. Plus, it’s gentler on fabrics. Win-win!
8. I Brought My Reusable Cup to Starbucks ☕
I do this every week – but I have to ask: why am I the only one bringing a reusable cup? We all have them! Let’s make reusable the new normal. A small habit, huge impact.
9. I Reused a Glass Juice Jar
Instead of recycling it, I gave my old glass juice bottle a new life. It’s now my go-to water glass (my daughter laughs every time she sees it). Reuse before recycle – that’s the real eco-upgrade.

10. I Made Homemade Granola for Breakfast
Less packaging, less sugar, more goodness. I buy ingredients in bulk and mix up a big batch for the week. Fewer cereal boxes in the recycling bin, and my kitchen smells amazing!
🌱 Small Acts, Big Impact
None of these were hard. In fact, most were simple choices that saved energy, reduced waste, and brought a little more joy into my week. Sustainable living doesn’t have to be complicated – it’s about progress, not perfection.
So, here’s my challenge to you:
👉 Pick one eco-friendly habit from this list to try this week.
👉 Tell me how it goes!
Let’s keep inspiring each other to live greener, happier lives – one small act at a time. 💚
